Vision and Objectives

The overarching vision for research at SITE is

To create a culture of evidence-informed practice, policy, and innovation in teacher education that improves learning outcomes for all children in Sindh.

This vision will be achieved through the following objectives:

1.      Institutionalizing research governance and ethics, ensuring quality, transparency, and accountability.

2.      Generating contextually relevant research that addresses key provincial education priorities—such as literacy, numeracy, multilingualism, equity, digital learning, and teacher effectiveness.

3.      Strengthening teacher education research capacity among faculty, researchers, and teacher educators across Sindh.

4.      Promoting school-based inquiry and action research, enabling teachers to become reflective practitioners.

5.      Translating research into practice through structured dissemination, integration into curricula, and policy dialogue.

6.  Fostering partnerships with universities, NGOs, and development partners to strengthen the evidence base for education reform.
