Research is central to the mandate and identity of SITE. As the province's apex body for teacher education, SITE recognizes that sustainable educational reform depends on systematic inquiry, evidence-based decision-making, and the generation of contextually relevant knowledge.

Research Governance

SITE has a robust research governance structure comprising:

Research Committee — Sets annual and long-term research priorities, approves proposals, oversees peer review and ethics compliance
Ethics Review Committee — Reviews all research involving human subjects, ensuring adherence to SITE's Ethics Guidelines
Research Office — Operational hub for proposal development, mentorship, funding applications, and dissemination
